Students will be introduced to the contemporary acting technique developed by playwright David Mamet and actor William H. Macy, which is exclusively taught through the school they co-founded along with the Atlantic Theater Company in NYC. Steeped in the rich lineage of the later Stanislavski-based approaches, practical aesthetics focuses on script analysis and moment-to-moment work and offers the actor an accessible tool kit and a craftsman-like approach to the art of acting. Teachers and all level students welcome.
