KCACTF Region 1 Festival 2020

In this 90-minute workshop, actors will be introduced to Uta Hagen's work through structured improvisations and short scenes. The Hagen approach, as found in her world-famous books, "Respect for Acting" and "A Challenge for the Actor", returns you to a discovery state, which is as practical in our acting as it is profound in our lives.

The class will explore key concepts of the technique such as: The Six Steps, Physical Destination, action, imagination, previous circumstances, inner objects, Transference, intention, conflict, inner and outer obstacles, expectations, and more.
